Pre-Owned Computer Hardware
Upgrades
We could write a one thousand word article, put a bunch of filler in it and not say much. But you want to know why you should consider pre-owned and or refurbished computer hardware? The answers are real basic:
1. Cost. At times, we provide prices at 80-90% off list. The math on that is real easy - a new disk drive from the manufacturer at $2000 - there is a good chance we are at or around $200-400. Here is a true story of what we hear once a week, at least: Your prices are too low, something isn't right. If that is the reason we lose an order, so be it. But our equipment is 100% original, and 100% eligible for your maintenance program.
2. Lead time. Some of the manufacturers have notoriously long lead-times. Whether it is 2 weeks or 12 weeks, if you need it tomorrow, it is too long. With our inventory and world-wide supply chain, we can comfortably say if it is available somewhere in the world, it can be on your receiving dock in 1-2 business days.
3. Your boss will love signing those PO's. Seriously - let's say you need 60 disk drives stat for an array that just underwent some "unscheduled sprinkling". You look at the original soggy paperwork and those disks cost $900 each. That's $54,000 - the boss might think that's what you cost each year. Pricing from Vertical is much more attractive at $200ea. That's just $12,000 - and you saved the company $42,000 - that's big money. And they ship the same day. And you are back up and running the next. Want more details? This really happened.
